Overview
Brief education meetings were called after the regularly scheduled monthly case conference to discuss plans for future conferences and evaluate the ongoing program. The location at 50 New Scotland, Department of Pediatric Surgery (2nd floor) has worked well in the past, in addition to holding the patient viewing on Thursdays on the 2nd floor, 50 New Scotland clinic, and the discussions in Huyck Auditorium. However, due to COVID19, we will remain with virtual meetings until we are able to return to on-site. A thorough review of the evaluation summaries from the 2021 conferences is almost complete. We are attempting to incorporate all suggested topics as indicated on the case conference summary evaluations and the attendees are becoming better about completing the evaluations. The Grand Rounds will encompass hot topics in Dermatology to better improve patient diagnosis and patient care.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify new developments in the field of dermatology.
  2. Review cutaneous findings of difficult to diagnose and/or treat dermatologic disease.
  3. Explain rational, individualized protocols for assessing and/or managing the above patients.
  4. Discuss follow-up of past patients to determine the effectiveness of recommendations for patient care.
  5. Prescribe maintain and improve dermatologic practice competence via evidence based intervention.
