 Lecture based education incorporating case study analysis, discussions, self reflection and question & answer.  This program will update the learner on current guidelines and best practice for care, treatment and monitoring of lead levels when caring for children and pregnant women.

Registration
Registration is Free but pre registration is required.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. State the ages of children that lead levels need to be tested.
  2. Manage children with elevated lead levels with the appropriate times of follow up appointments.
  3. Understand current screening recommendations for lead poisoning
  4. Recall concerns regarding perinatal lead exposure
  5. Interpret current USA/NYS/Regional lead poisoning rates
  6. Discuss management and prevention of lead poisoning
  7. Identify one resource for preventative support
