Overview

The AMC Department of Medicine’s Division of  Infectious Disease presents a monthly one hour case conference for the presentation of:
Challenging diagnostic and therapeutic cases in both Adult and Pediatric Infectious diseases
Open forum discussion format for all in attendance and on line to share their diagnostic thoughts, experiences and potential therapeutic options
Cases will not only be presented by AMC providers , but also via sharing of cases via on line platform

Our audience includes infectious disease specialists, pharmacists, microbiology laboratory professionals,  AMC medical students and AMC  residents  from the immediate Tri-City area , but also from our network in Glens Falls, Saratoga, and Hudson, and had participants from Watertown, NY and Bassett Health Network.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Recognize the variable presentation of individual infections
  2. Identify treatment recommendations for particular infections/syndromes
  3. Expertly diagnose particular infections, in a variety of unique presentations, sometimes that have not been previously well described/reported
  4. Familiarize oneself with latest literature on the topic of presentation
