Overview
Changes occur rapidly in the fields of HIV and Hepatology. This course is designed to provide practitioners with the most up-to-date clinical information on a variety of topics to assist in their care of patients living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. Presentation formats include didactic sessions and interactive case presentations, followed by subsequent question and answer periods.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply the knowledge of most recent antiretroviral therapy data to clinical practice.
  2. Recognize the challenge of applying geriatric principles to diverse needs of older persons with HIV.
  3. Understand the epidemiology of anal cancer, pre-cancer and HPV infection in persons living with HIV.
  4. Explore emerging strategies in PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).
  5. Discuss similarities and differences between the HIV and COVID pandemics.
  6. Describe how stigma, discrimination and the history of PTSD influence risk taking behaviors.
  7. Apply presented strategies for treatment to case presentations.
