Overview
Despite access to healthcare and availability of effective therapeutic antihypertensive medications, hypertension recognition and control continues to be substandard. National data still indicates that the national blood pressure (BP) control rate is still below goal. In our meeting we will provide information on reasons for not achieving goals and will present potential complications of not controlling BP. Presentations will provide help and guidance to improve targets towards goal. Additionally, United States Renal Data System (USRDS) data indicates that using National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data showed increase rate in all Stage Chronic kidney disease. Our conference will present new programs to assist slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease and shed light on reasons for this increase in CKD and the new disease targeted therapies updates.
