Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify biological risk factors for substance use disorder
  2. Discuss stigma surrounding treatment of opioid use disorder
  3. Describe the SBIRT training model at Albany Medical College
  4. Identify the health consequences of vaping in adolescents and young adults
  5. Describe public health resources for treating substance use disorders in the Capital District
  6. Compare practical counseling points when recommending cessation pharmacotherapy
