 This conference focuses on topics of interest to primary care practitioners. The sessions will be concise, up-to-date and clinically relevant.  Our intent is to bring practitioners of primary care together in a relaxed setting to review the latest trends in medicine and to share their own experiences and viewpoints in the context of evidence-based discussions.

1. Identify the major cardiovascular causes of embolic strokes and understand the principles guiding their management in an effort to decrease the risk of future strokes.
2. Appreciate the importance of atrial fibrillation, atherosclerosis and its consequences, and the presence of a patent foramen ovale (PFO) as cardiovascular causes of embolic strokes.
3. Identify less common cardiovascular causes of embolic strokes and understand the principles guiding their management in an effort to decrease the risk of future
4. Describe trends over the past 20 years in outcomes for patients with diabetes.
5. List reasons for success, or lack thereof, in these outcomes.
6. Discuss the indications for weight loss medications.
7. Review the current FDA approved weight loss medications for adults and children.
8. Discuss the pros and cons of disease modifying therapy treatments in Alzheimer’s disease.
9. Recognize the burden of CAD in the South Asian population and implement strategies for primary intervention.

Cancellation/Change policy
7 Days Prior to arrival. That means that if a room night is to be dropped or a reservation is to be cancelled it must be done 7 days prior to the arrival date. Inside of the 7 days you will still be charged for the dropped night or entire cancelled reservation. 

Release Date: August 1st 2021
Each person must make their individual reservations by this date. After the release date any rooms still being held in the block will be put back into inventory and sold to anyone on the waitlist.  If a person calls to make a reservation with the group after the release date they will pay the going rate for a room not the group rates.
